Nursery Ideas...

YAY!!!... I finally found a nursery photo similar to what i was picturing for our nursery..
I already have one ikea shelf to use, so I would just need to buy one more to match. I may do the same thing shown above and put them on both sides of the window.

Costume Ideas???

I am still unsure what to be for Halloween... i like to look cute rather than scary.... but still halloween-ie..... my ideas so far were: Corpse Bride, dead or alive vintage barbie, or skeleton gothic girl.

Halloween - Outdoor Ideas

Such a fun idea.. Halloween decorating in the woods. Too bad our woods is one BIG ravine...

Maybe i can take a little from this idea and I can decorate under our deck. If it's nice we will be able to have a bonfire like last year.

Where did they get these trees???? If anyone knows... please let me know. I have been looking for these trees for years now. I am worried that when i finally find them... they will be $300. eeeekkkkk!

Halloween

Things I can do... cheap and easy.
1.Spiders on photo frames 2.Cut out bats on walls and in the stairway ( possibly outside under deck also) 3. Old portraits/oil paiting framings ( as shown above- look for these at Third market sunday) 4. faux cob web cloth on furniture


I think this large mural is super fun!!!! I would love to get something like this and have it in our basement for our parties.

These will be fun to make. Even if i just make one plate full... they will be cute and tasty!

A Few things found....

I love the vintage looking ABC cards. I will need to keep my eye out at the Third Market Sunday this month. These would be cute framed up... i was thining instead of wood letters on the walls with the child's name spelled out, use these cards and frame the letters of his/her name.

i love tree murals.... especially with monkeys hanging from them.

Ebay had some very cute wall decals. I will look on there if I decide to decorate with them.

This idea is very similar to what i was trying to describe to my husband. My idea, however, was to have the shelves/cabinets built all around the crib against the wall. But who says the crib has to be against the wall??? hmmm.... maybe i will consider it elsewhere :)

Modern Nursery

Very cute but way too much!!! I like the idea that it's modern and colorful without looking like a baby room... I don't want winnie the pooh- or any other character on my walls.

10 months later...

ok ok.. so i didn't take the time to blog like i had hoped for the new year. Oh well... I am just happy I remembered my login. :)

Exciting news!!! I have a new purpose for the blog site. I am going to post baby stuff on it as I find baby ideas on the web so i am not printing photos and then losing them. I have 8 months to come up with a baby room idea and it's never too late to start looking for ideas, right?!
